Ofcom finds five stations in breach of broadcast licence or standards

Broadcasting regulator Ofcom has found five radio stations in breach of either broadcasting standards or licencing in its latest bulletin.

Waves Radio was found in breach for playing a song containing offensive language during its weekday AM2PM show.

KeeP 106 was also found guilty of playing a song with offensive language during its weekday afternoon drive show.

Abbey 104’s breach was a result of broadcasting multiple programmes presented by a candidate standing in local authority by-election during the election period.

1055 The Point failed to fulfil the requirements specified in its Key Commitments around the main types of music, speech and the locally-produced output.

Harbour Radio didn’t fulfil its Key Commitments requirement to deliver 12 hours of original output each day on five of the seven days monitored.
