Bauer to leave One Golden Square for new Euston development
Bauer is relocating all of its radio and publishing brands to a brand new office development at The Lantern in Euston.
The existing London audio headquarters, One Golden Square, will be retained by Bauer while the move completes, with the phased transition due to commence this Summer and end by Summer 2023.
The lease of current London publishing building Academic House comes to an end this September and will be handed back to the owners.
Bauer says the new space has been designed with accessibility and sustainability at its core which will be fitted throughout to accommodate the company’s broadcasting operation, as well as featuring production suites for multi-media output, including a photo studio and live performance space.
Chris Duncan, CEO of Bauer Media UK Publishing said “This relocation marks a pivotal moment in the transformation of our business. The move helps us to set our sights on future growth, fostered by greater collaboration between our Publishing brands and with our colleagues across Bauer.
“We’re delighted to have found a building that is inclusive and sustainable by design”
Dee Ford said, Group Managing Director for Bauer Media Audio UK added: “Our new central London home will be a great place to do great work for our outstanding broadcast and commercial teams. The Lantern lends itself fantastically well to collaborative and creative work.
“We can’t wait to throw open our doors to welcome and work even more closely with our commercial partners, record labels and performing talent.”
Bauer has been in One Golden Square since 2014 after it purchased Absolute Radio. Before that, it was headquartered at Mappin House.
The Lantern is just meters away from Euston Tower, where Capital Radio was based before moving to Leicester Square.
