Global’s Make Some Noise grants over £2.9 million to UK charity projects

Global’s Make Some Noise has provided grants totalling over £2.9 million for life-changing projects in local communities across the UK.
Every year, grants are awarded to small charities across the country to help fund the vital services they offer.
Since its launch in 2014, Global’s Make Some Noise has supported 527 local community projects and made a difference to over 227,000 people across the UK.
This year 46 small charities received grants to deliver vital projects, tackling local needs and supporting those in their community – from food banks to befriending projects for the elderly and isolated, cancer wellbeing programmes to domestic abuse refuges, from employment opportunities to physical and speech therapy for people with disabilities.
The funds distributed by Global’s Make Some Noise will provide support to over 27,000 people across the UK through essential services including:
- 12,465 counselling sessions across a range of support services including providing practical support to 164 parents that have experienced baby loss as well as 1:1 sessions for stroke survivors, and male and female survivors of domestic abuse.
- 400 emergency food parcels to help provide a healthy balanced diet for anyone struggling to buy food.
- Evening and late-night crisis mental health support to 700 young people
- Hygiene and personal care packs to 175 people experiencing homelessness
- Emotional and practical support to 145+ families affected by a brain tumour diagnosis. Guiding them through diagnosis and treatment, offering essential emotional and practical assistance
