North West broadcaster Brian Cullen joins Cheshire’s MIX 56

Brian Cullen has been on air across the North West for 50 years this year and recently joined Mix 56 to host a show on the station every Sunday at noon.
Brian started his radio career at BBC Radio Merseyside before moving to Radio City and Marcher Sound.
Now on Cheshire’s MIX 56, his Wing Ding show is a trip back to the 60’s with the feel of the old Radio Caroline days including retro jingles and tracks from the pirate radio days.
Brian Cullen says: “I’m delighted to bring the Weekend Wing Ding to a new Cheshire audience every week and we take a look back at my favourite decade of music. A lot of today’s music has been inspired by many of the old classics from the 60’s.”
Station Director Paul Smith adds: “We worked together at Marcher Sound back in the 90’s and when I got the call, I was delighted Brian wanted to join the team. He’s an absolute pro. The show is fast paced, feel good and keeps these amazing songs alive on the radio.”
