Nation Radio South adds another county to its coverage area

Nation Radio South is now available on DAB across the county-wide Somerset multiplex.
The move means the station can be heard on digital radio in Yeovil, Weston-Super-Mare, Glastonbury, Frome, Taunton and Bridgwater.
The station also recently extended its broadcast footprint into Sussex, taking its potential audience close to 4M adults across southern England.
Nation’s founder Jason Bryant said: “We continue to build Nation Radio across the South. This investment means Nation’s existing listeners in North Dorset can enjoy better and wider reception of their favourite station.
“At the same time, we extend a warm welcome to listeners across Somerset who, I believe, will enjoy our friendly, locally based presenters and the South’s Best Variety of Hits.”
Nation Radio South’s Commercial Director Stewart Dennis said; “Our listening data tells us we already have a good following of listeners to Nation across Somerset.
“Our newly enlarged DAB footprint means that those listeners can stay with us for even longer in the car, whilst we have significantly extended choice for listeners, local and regional businesses in Somerset can also now access the South’s biggest regional radio station.”
Whilst the programming will be the same, separate branding and adverts will place in four different areas – Sussex, Hampshire, Dorset and Somerset.
