UK Italian station London One Radio celebrates 10 years on air
London One Radio, the only Italian radio station in the UK (BBC Supplier), is marking its 10th anniversary this year.
The station provides a cultural bridge between Italy and the UK, broadcasting online and on DAB in Edinburgh.
In collaboration with RAI, London One Radio is involved in the programme “PAPARAZZI,” airing on RAI Italia. Also, Il Globo TV has brought the RAI Italia schedule to the UK for the first time and features special programmes produced by London One Radio.
The station says it has seen a 23% increase in listening from the UK in the last six months, which it says, is attributed to the engaging content of its entertaining and informative shows.
It continues to be the official radio partner for major Italian music events and concerts in the UK and promotes Italian music through its annual London One Radio Award, which honours Italian artists who have achieved notable success in the UK throughout the year.
Phil Baglini, founder of London One Radio says: “When I founded London One Radio ten years ago, my dream was to create a space where Italians in the UK could feel connected to their roots, while also sharing our rich culture with the British community.
“I’m incredibly proud of how far we’ve come. Today, London One Radio is more than just a radio station; it’s a cultural bridge that brings together two great nations.
“As we look to the future, we remain committed to growing our community, fostering connections, and promoting the best of Italy in the UK.”
