Changes to BBC Radio 5 Live schedule today following Gary Lineker action
This week’s edition of Fighting Talk on 5 Live was replaced with a podcast after Colin Murray announced he would not be hosting the show due to “obvious reasons”.
Those reasons are of course to support Gary Lineker, with Colin saying: “In the interest of transparency, this was a decision taken by the entire FT team and myself.”
He also quipped: “Bob Mills was still up for it, to be fair ;).”
Mark Chapman and Dion Dublin have also reportedly stepped down from presenting duties today on 5 Live Sport, standing in solidarity with Gary Lineker.
Fighting Talk was due to air at 11am but instead The footballer’s football podcast was broadcast.
The action follows a demand by the BBC, telling Gary Lineker to step back from presenting Match of the Day until an agreement is reached on his social media use.
No @FightingTalk316 today, for obvious reasons.
In the interest of transparency, this was a decision taken by the entire FT team and myself.
