Durham OnAir to broadcast Spennymoor Town commentary
Country Durham online radio service Durham OnAir has partnered with Spennymoor Town FC to broadcast live match commentary of Moors’ games next season.
The club has been delivering live match commentary since January 2019 via a dedicated Mixlr channel, but, with Durham OnAir will now give it an extra platform.
Sam Lupton, managing director of Durham OnAir said: “We have had exciting plans for our sport output since we launched last November, but unfortunately, COVID-19 restrictions over the past 6 months have meant we have been unable to feature coverage of our local teams.
“Now that the new season is about to get underway, we are thrilled to be working with Spennymoor Town FC to be able to make National League football accessible to all.
“Commentary will be provided live from the ground by existing Spennymoor commentators Sam Fletcher and Adam Hassell, with Durham OnAir sport presenter Jack Gray, live in the studio offering updates from other North East fixtures, and national sport.”
The first match to be broadcast on Durham OnAir will be a pre-season friendly, with the Moors facing League One side Sunderland AFC on July 3rd at 3pm.
Durham OnAir is online 24 hours a day, and expects to announce a DAB launch date later in 2021.
