British Asian radio station name Club Asia returns
The Club Asia radio name is back running test transmissions as a DAB station in Birmingham.
It’s being run by former BBC Editor Ishfaq Ahmed as their Head of Operations.
Ahmed has over 30 years of experience within the radio industry, as one of the original creators of the first BBC national radio offering the Asian Network.
Club Asia will offer listeners the chance to hear great music from all genres, with an underlying focus on British Asian identity through music and speech.
Ahmed said: “In the coming weeks I will be head hunting established presenter talent from across the UK, who are a good fit with the values of Club Asia.
“I am keen to hear from the potential stars of tomorrow too. Do email me your showreel at info@clubasia.co.uk.”
Club Asia originally started broadcasting in 2003 on 963 and 972 AM in London but went into administration in 2009.
