BBC Test Match Special to cover Sri Lanka tour remotely
BBC Test Match Special is to provide full commentary for England’s winter tour of Sri Lanka on 5 Live Sports Extra remotely.
The TMS team will be commentating Off Tube, with some commentating from home, some from The Oval and some from Media City UK when England and Sri Lanka meet for their Test series behind closed doors in Galle this month.
The first Test will be live from 4.15am on Thursday 14 January (first ball at 4.30am) and fans can tune in daily until the 18 January. The second Test will be live from 22 January until 26 January and the full series will be available via live text commentary on the BBC Sport website.
The team across the series will be Jonathan Agnew, Simon Mann and Daniel Norcross on commentary duties and summarisers will include Michael Vaughan, Phil Tufnell, Ebony Rainford-Brent, Sir Alastair Cook and former Sri Lankan batsman Russel Arnold.
There will be a daily edition of the Test Match Special podcast, available on BBC Sounds, where Jonathan Agnew and Michael Vaughan will recap and reflect on the day’s action.
There will also be special editions of the Tuffers and Vaughan show on BBC Radio 5 Live to discuss the series and all the latest developments during a busy period in the international cricket calendar.
