Capital’s Summertime Ball moves to Tottenham
Capital’s Summertime Ball is moving from its previous home at the Wembley Arena to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2020.
The date has also been announced today by Global, as Saturday 6th June.
The largest football club stadium in London has been created as a home for both sport and entertainment, and is also one of the most technologically advanced in existence, with fully cashless payment systems, high-density Wi-Fi and 100% mobile coverage.
Capital’s flagship music event heads to Tottenham for the first time having previously been held for the past nine years at Wembley Stadium.
The line-up for Capital’s Summertime Ball will be announced in the coming months and tickets will go on sale this April. Last year, performers including Mark Ronson, Khalid, Maroon 5, Halsey, Jonas Brothers, Rita Ora, Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding took to the stage.
Ashley Tabor-King OBE, Founder & Executive President of Global, said: “We’re thrilled that Capital’s Summertime Ball will be the first ever multi-artist live music event to be held at Tottenham. We have another huge line-up in-store and we can’t wait to welcome the world’s biggest artists and Capital listeners alike to Tottenham’s spectacular new home for the ultimate party of the summer.”
Daniel Levy, Tottenham Hotspur Chairman, said: “We are delighted to play host to one of the biggest music events of the UK summer. The fact that we have been chosen for such a high-profile event speaks volumes for the calibre of our stadium, which has been widely acclaimed since it opened last year. We look forward to welcoming music fans and some of the most famous artists in the world to Tottenham in June.”
